Job Description
QA engineer responsibilities include estimating, planning, and coordinating testing activities. Also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server 2008/R2
- Understanding CSS, Ajax, Jquery, Json,SQL Reporting Services
- Understanding Java script, WCF, WPF, Web Srvices, OOPS Concept
- UnderstandingSDLC Understanding
- Understanding Mobile Apps
- Insurance domain knowledge is preferred
- certified in manual testing is preferred
Job Responsibilities
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
- Backend database testing in Microsoft SQL environment including validating stored procedures, jobs and triggers.
- Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
- Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
- Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
- Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
- Identify any potential quality issues as per defined processes and escalate potential quality issues immediately to the management.
- Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
- Hands-on Experience and Knowledge of Bugzilla.
Pre-Qualification Criteria
- Experience candidate are expected to provide a valid reson for leaving their current organisation while applying for the job
- All recruited candidates have to go through a rigorous training for 3 months followed by assessments and evaluation.
