Job Overview
As a SDE-1, you will primarily focus on backend development while having the opportunity to work across the full stack. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, deploy, and maintain scalable products for various applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services for scale and reliability.
- Work with databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate with teams using Git and GitHub for version control.
- Build, manage, and deploy applications using Docker for containerization.
- Understand and contribute to microservices architecture, event-driven architectures, and Pub/Sub systems.
- Take end to end responsibility of the features from requirement phase to release phase.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to best development practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0-3 years of experience in backend development with Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with one or more databases: MongoDB or Postgres.
- Knowledge of Redis for in-memory caching.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub.
- Familiarity with Docker for containerization.
- Basic understanding of software architectures such as microservices and event-driven architectures.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
- Exposure to media encoding frameworks like GStreamer or FFMPEG.
- Basic understanding of frontend technologies such as React.js for full-stack development.
- Understanding of WebRTC and WebSockets
