About Job
Amazon wants to hire a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer I (QAE) who is enthusiastic about joining their team. The job involves overseeing the testing process from start to finish. This includes creating test designs and plans and going over them with stakeholders. You’ll also need to constantly improve test coverage and fill in any gaps in existing automation. Understanding how customers use the system is crucial, so you’ll include relevant scenarios in the tests. Some knowledge of scripting and coding is necessary.

Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in quality assurance engineering
- Familiarity with automated testing
- Familiarity with manual testing
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of UI and API automated testing tools like Selenium and SOAPUI
- Ability to program in languages like Java, C++, or C# with an understanding of object-oriented design principles
Preferred Qualification
- Proficiency in API and Mobile testing
- Ability to create comprehensive test conditions, scripts, and data sets to ensure thorough coverage and control
- Familiarity with engineering methodologies and best practices across the entire software/hardware/network development cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, version control, build processes, testing protocols, certification procedures, and ongoing operations
- Previous experience in testing backend services
- Competence in code coverage analysis, profiling, and performance/load testing.
