Job Description
- Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities.
- Designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using open source tools.
- Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly, and tracking bugs.
- Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
Qualification & Candidate qualities
- Development experience: A QA Engineer should have some understanding of development workflows, frameworks, and methodologies.
- QA Engineers should be able to communicate effectively with the product and development teams.
- Detail-oriented: QA Engineers should be meticulous and pay attention to detail.
- Troubleshooting skills: QA Engineers should be able to identify and solve problems that arise during testing.
- Ability to write clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Teachable: QA Engineers should be willing to learn from other team members and apply what they learn to their own projects.
