NetApp is looking for a Software QA Engineer. The job role involves collaborating with a team of skilled engineers to contribute to the development, testing, debugging, and upkeep of a suite of enterprise data protection products.
Working within the Research and Development domain, your focus lies on crafting quality software through automation development and thorough testing of both existing and new products.
Your primary responsibility encompasses utilizing your current skills and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to successfully execute projects within the QA cycle. This includes tasks such as Automation Development, Testing, and Debugging of product failures across both on-premises and Cloud environments, as well as maintaining testing artefacts within the test repository and managing the defect lifecycle.

Job Requirements
- Must have at least 1-3 years of experience in Automation development.
- Experience building automation frameworks for APIs, command lines, or GUI from scratch.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, C#, or JAVA.
- Understanding of testing concepts, Agile methodologies, and how defects are managed.
- Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium.
- Should be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- It’s a plus if you have experience with public cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of VMWare, SAN/NAS Storage, or enterprise data protection is helpful.
- Experience with databases like MS SQL Server, Oracle, or SAP HANA.
- A basic understanding of product security, threat modelling, SDL processes, and vulnerability assessments would be beneficial.
Education
B.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a master’s degree, or a PhD. Or, if you don’t have a degree, you should have similar experience gained over 1 to 3 years. You should also be able to show that you’ve finished several medium-difficulty projects.
