Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and complete test plans and test cases.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other collaborators to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Monitor debugging process results.
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Qualifications
- BS / BA degree or combination of relevant education and experience.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.
- Experience in project management and QA methodology.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Ability to detail and troubleshoot errors.
- Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., QTest, Zephyr) and SQL.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Analytical mind and proficiency in problem-solving.
- Strong organizational skills.
Preferred
- Professional certification (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
- Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, JMeter).
- Knowledge of software development.
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo).
- Experience with performance and/or security testing.
