Application Process
- Sign in to the TCS NextStep Portal by clicking here.
- Register and apply for the drive.
- If you’re already registered under the ‘IT‘ category in the TCS NextStep Portal, log in using your TCS Reference ID (CT/DT reference number) and complete the application form and click on ‘Apply For Drive’.
- If you’re a new user, click on ‘Register Now’, select the category as “IT”, and fill in your details. Submit the application and click on ‘Apply For Drive’.
- Choose your test mode (In-Centre) and select your preferred test center. Then, click on Apply.
- Track your application status to confirm it shows as “Applied for Drive”.

Important Note:
- This is an In-Center test, with center allotment based on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Ensure you have all your original academic documents up to date for submission during the Interview (if shortlisted).
- Communication regarding the test will be conveyed to you by our test partner, TCS iON.
- TCS exclusively uses official email IDs for job offers and hiring communication, avoiding unofficial platforms like Gmail, Rediffmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, etc.
- TCS never requires candidates to make any monetary deposits for employment offers.
- TCS conducts interviews and offers employment directly, without any involvement of external agencies or companies.
- Be aware that we maintain strict eligibility criteria and a thorough selection process. Your eligibility will be assessed against defined criteria at various stages. If found ineligible or if provided data is discrepant, your candidature will be disqualified.
Eligibility Criteria For Test
- Percentage Requirement: Applicants must maintain a minimum of 60% or a CGPA of 6 throughout their academic journey, including their highest qualification, up to the latest semester for which results have been declared at the time of the test process. If chosen, the offer will be contingent upon the candidate’s degree or provisional degree certificate explicitly stating that they have completed their Engineering with a ‘First Class’ distinction at the time of joining.
- Highest Qualification: TCS NQT is specifically open to candidates from the 2024 batch holding any of the following academic degrees: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Master of Technology (M.Tech.), Master of Engineering (M.E.), Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.), or Master of Science (M.Sc./M.S.) in any specialization offered by AICTE/UGC recognized universities/colleges.
- Backlogs/Arrears/ATKT: Candidates must not have any pending or active backlogs/arrears/ATKT at the time of the TCS selection process or upon joining if selected. All pending backlogs must be cleared within the university’s stipulated course duration.
- Extended Education: Extended education will not be permissible. Candidates must have completed their course within the stipulated duration.
- Gap/Break in Education: Any gaps in education, not exceeding 24 months until the highest qualification, must be declared. Relevant documentation for such gaps will be verified.
- Course Types: Only full-time courses will be considered. Part-time/correspondence courses will not be entertained.
- Open Schooling: Candidates who have completed their Secondary and/or Senior Secondary courses from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) are eligible to apply if their graduation and post-graduation (if applicable) courses are completed on a full-time basis.
- Work Experience: Candidates with up to 2 years of work experience can also be eligible for this test (applicable only for postgraduate students).
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 28 years old to participate in this hiring event.
