Responsibilities:
Test Planning:
- Assist in the creation of test plans based on project requirements and specifications.
- Work closely with the testing team to understand the scope of testing and contribute to test strategy development.
Test Case Design:
- Design test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Test Execution:
- Execute test cases and document results thoroughly.
- Identify and report defects, ensuring accurate and detailed bug reports.
Regression Testing:
- Participate in regression testing to ensure that new developments do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
Automation Testing:
- Learn and contribute to automated testing efforts using relevant testing tools.
- Assist in creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide valuable feedback.
Documentation:
- Document test procedures, results, and other relevant information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date testing documentation.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing.
- Actively participate in training programs and self-learning initiatives.
Quality Assurance:
- Contribute to the overall quality assurance process by participating in code reviews and other quality-focused activities.
Communication:
- Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders regarding testing progress, issues, and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus.
- Knowledge in Automation Preferred.
- Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
